Scout-O-Rama at the Fall Camporee

Scout-O-Rama at the Fall Camporee

North Start District’s Fall Camporee is September 27 through 29, 2013 at Phillippo Scout Reservation. This year’s theme, Scout-O-Rama, features a “county fair” of Scouting. Each Troop will be demonstrating and sharing Scout Skills that they excel at. Dutch Oven cooking, Ideal Campsites, Fire Building, monkey bridges, pioneering projects …!!!

Cub Scouts, prospective Scouts, and their parents will be welcomed to camp on Saturday morning September 28 beginning at 9:00 to tour and participate in Scout-O-Rama activities throughout the day. A Cub Scout and their parent may pitch a tent and stay Saturday evening for a small fee of $10 per pair. (plus about $10 for food)

New scouting season

We will be at the open house evenings this Thursday, August 29th, at Crossroads Elementary (4:00-6:00pm) and Wellstone Elementary (5:30-7:30pm) schools. 

 Look for us at a table, hopefully not too far in the back!

Our first Den Meeting for current Pack 66 Cub Scouts will be on Monday, September 9th at 6:30pm.

Our Recruting Night for new Cub Scouts will be on Monday, September 16th, at 6:30pm.  Current Cub Scouts should also come along, and be sure to bring a friend!

On Monday, September 23, we will have a den meeting plus a parent information meeting.  All parents - for both current and new scouts - should plan to be there.

Looks like we have some catching up to do on our website!  Check back here soon for some pics from activities this past spring, and more importantly - information about this fall's den meetings and other activities.

In the meantime, here is some quick info about upcoming activities this summer:

Rice Street Parade:   We will be walking in the Rice Street Parade on Thursday, July 25.  Let's meet at St. Bernards by 6:30 so we can carpool down to the lineup area on Sycamore Ave.  We'll be in position #43.


Camp Akela:  Join us August 9-11 as the Cub Scouts attend Camp Akela, at Phillippo Scout Reservation, near Cannon Falls.  Please contact Cubmaster James Frese for more information and to get signed up soon!
