Summer Activities

This summer, many of our scouts went to scout camp.  For some, sleeping outdoors with nothing but a canvas tent between their sleeping bag and the outdoor critters was a new experience that won't be forgotten. 

Our Wolves, Bears, and 1st-year Webelos went to Camp Akela.



While our 2nd-year Webelos attended Camp Navajo, which is part of the Boy Scouts' Tomahawk Scout Reservation.

Thank you for a great year of scouting with Pack 66!

Our next main event will be our End of the Year Pack Meeting

Saturday, June 18th, 2011, 11:00 am

NEW LOCATION!

Please join us at Lake McCarrons in Saint Paul to
celebrate the end of the year with a picnic. The park at
Lake McCarrons is in Roseville on Rice Street.

Hotdogs will be provided, but please bring a dish to
share.

There is a swimming beach and a fishing pier at Lake
McCarrons, but these activities are not part of our Pack
66 agenda. You are welcome to fish or swim at your
leisure after our event has officially concluded.

March 2011 Newsletter

Please read through the March newsletter carefully! It contains many details about upcoming events, including some date changes, and other reminders like the following:

* Send an old shirt to the pinewood derby workshops to protect your child's uniform when painting

* The Pinewood Derby has been moved to March 26th

* Summer Camps (payment is due April 4th!)

This health form is for camps with a stay of less than 72 hours such as our Camp Akela:
* Short Term Medical Record

This health form is for a stay of 72 hours or more such as Camp Navajo & Tomahawk (requires a doctor's signature):
* Long Term Medical Record

For anyone seeking financial assistance toward the cost of camp, the district may pay for up to 50% of the cost of camp.  We want every boy to have the opportunity to attend!

Polar Cubs 2011

The weather warmed up just long enough this weekend for Pack 66 to attend Polar Cubs at Camp Philippo, and we had a great time.  There was snow tubing, snow balls, snow hockey, snow tunneling, and tracking the elusive Minnesota Yeti.

Archery Day 2011

All North Star District Cub Scout Packs are welcome to attend this event, which will be held indoors. Scouts will be provided with archery instruction and be given ample time to practice their skill. Scouts can arrive at anytime until 10:00am and participate.

         Event ends when the Scouts are done!
