Archery Day 2010

4rd Annual North Star District
Cub Scout Archery Day

Update:
Several boys from Pack 66 practiced shooting bows and arrows at this year's District Archery Day. The boys are getting pretty accurate now, and when you see the power released from even a kid-size compound bow, we appreciate why safety is a top priority!

We’ll have an indoor archery range set up for the Scouts. Volunteers will be on hand to help teach your Scouts how to safely shoot a bow.

When:
Saturday, January 9, 2010
Time: Check-in starts at 9:00am
Shooting starts at 9:30am
Event ends when the Scouts are done!

Where:
2600 Cleveland Ave North Roseville, MN

Who:
All North Star District Cub Scout Packs are welcome to attend this event, which will be held indoors. Scouts will be provided with archery instruction and be given ample time to practice their skill. Scouts can arrive at anytime until 10:00am and participate.

They will open the doors at 9:00am for check-in. We let the Scouts rotate through the shooting line as long as they want to keep going...the idea is to have a safe, fun event and improve as archers.

Scouts who are unable to preregister, may still attend the event and register at the door (but, please make every effort to preregister as it makes everything go faster!). We will also keep the check-in open until 10:00am in case you need to arrive late.

There will be a concession stand, or you're welcome to bring your own snacks.

If a Scout has his own bow, he may bring it. However, please do not bring arrows. Arrows and Bows are provided.
